Qhunar insists that he has no idea what they are talking about, but Phoebus just remarks that the word of a criminal is meaningless. Phoebus demands him to answer who sent him, and if he is the Interrogator. Qhunar asks for them to stop attacking and surrenders. His excitement soon turns to dismay as they get the upper hand against him and defeat him. The two of them manage to quickly defeat Xibalba, and then move on to face Qhunar, who is excited at something new. After she takes a lot of damage, she glitches out and instead says "For the Q-Qhunar!". The Xibalba erratically attacks them, declaring "For the Queen!". He decides to test them by sending something more advanced, and sends a Xibalba drone to attack. Qhunar, having noticed Discordia & Phoebus, notes that the two of them seem to be sentient. Discordia tells him to leave it to her, while referring to him as "Phoeb", much to his annoyance. He then tries to discern where the one controlling the Xibalba unit is. Phoebus praises her intuition, and agrees that this is just a puppet being controlled by someone else. Discordia states that, where there is a puppet there is a master, as he had taught her. Phoebus then notices the Xibalba seems to be acting oddly with sluggish movements, and he remarks that he expected more out of an AI so advanced. He tells Discordia to stand behind him, as it is too dangerous for her to fight against. Phoebus identifies that it was a Xibalba drone, and calls it "vicious spawn of Pseudea". Discordia spots it again for a moment, but realizes it disappeared. Phoebus says he noticed as well, and that it is time for her to focus as this will be the real deal. Discordia says that she thought that the server was where they were going, and he just responds that it is, if only they can find it.ĭiscordia then notices something coming and alerts Phoebus. He laments that Discordia now has little more than a disorganized group of lowlifes. He reminisces that Discordia used to be a truly wonderful place, where the people had honor, dignity, and chivalry. He clarifies that he was talking about the server named Discordia, which she was named after. Discordia asks if, by "Discordia", she meant her, but Phoebus quickly says that isn't what he meant.
He says that he can't imagine Discordians venturing this far out. Discordia asks what he means, and he explains that this area used to be heavily guarded by dangerous AI from the Visual Display Authority, but is now devoid of any activity. After a few silent moments, she just says sorry again.Īs they progress through a desolate area, Phoebus remarks that things seem quite strange. She apologizes, but he tells her that she shouldn't be sorry. Discordia excitedly says that she knew she was ready to go, but Phoebus reminds her to not let her pride become hubris. Phoebus reluctantly agrees, and says that they need to get moving anyways. Discordia sighs, and promises that she will do better next time, but she needs to have at least a small break. He says that Elysion is waiting for them. He tells her that she needs to remember what they've been training for, and that they have an oath they must uphold. He just reminds her that rigorous training as well as focus and commitment are crucial to growing stronger. Discordia complains about having to work so hard for so long, and asks if it will ever be enough to please Phoebus. Qhunar then spots another Xibalba unit, and muses if this one might give some answer as to why he is trapped in the server.Įlsewhere, Discordia & Phoebus work on their training. He admits that one even showed more emotion than he does.
He says that he just tortures them and observes, though he is surprised by the amount of individuality they can show, as some were happy while others were depressed. He laments that all he has to show for it is another tormented Xibalba, as he has done so much that he doesn't even bother to experiment anymore. He ponders how long it has been since he last saw another living person, as he has explored most of the land and sea in the area. In some desolate part of Discordia, Qhunar wanders aimlessly, wondering why he is even there in the first place. The Explorer is a Spectre quest released for the second Discord Unit Creation contest for the Global version of Crash Fever. (No quest info is available at the moment.)
